Delete your Haunt & Seek account
In the game
- Open Haunt & Seek and go to Settings.
- Press Delete my account.
- Read what is deleted and what stays, then press Delete my account again to confirm.
Your account is locked straight away: you cannot play, and your haunts leave the list other players browse. Nothing is deleted for 14 days. Until then, opening the game shows the date and a Keep my account button that cancels the request.
Without the game
If you no longer have the game installed, or cannot open it, email support@faxtorial.com with the subject Delete my Haunt & Seek account.
Include your account code. It is shown in the game under Settings, as Account code: …. We use it to find your account — we do not ask for a password, and we never ask you to send one.
We start the same 14-day request and reply to say when it will be carried out. If you play as a guest and have removed the game without noting your code, we may not be able to tell which account is yours; write anyway and tell us what you remember (your ghost's name, roughly when you last played).
What is deleted
- Your name: it becomes Unknown Ghost everywhere it appears.
- Your sign-in: every session is ended, so no phone can open the account again.
- The country you chose at the age check.
- Anything you wrote in a report, and the link between a report and the run it was about.
- Your coins, Ectoplasm, levels and skills stop belonging to anyone and cannot be played again.
What is kept
- Haunts you published stay for other players to visit, shown as made by Unknown Ghost.
- Runs you played stay in other ghosts' replays, without your name.
- Records our staff wrote about the account (for example, why a reward was granted), and the game's own ledger of what was earned and spent, linked only to the anonymous account.
Children's accounts
A parent or guardian can ask for a child's account to be deleted by writing to the same address with the child's account code.
